The Green Crystal Technology Park
Panhandle Region - Texas

The world's first and largest green technology park is being planned and engineered in the Panhandle of Texas and set to break ground early 2009.

This park, a 100 by 100 mile "Green Zone", will host, facilitate, display and demonstrate the worlds leading green technologies as well as show thriving and growing green communities. The park will become a center of research and knowledge, a meeting place for ideas, scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs. It will act as a huge greenhouse that will host and help realize technologies that are suppressed elsewhere, for lack of vision or financial means. Having this concentration of technologies, some of which are massive, would help create a matchless attraction that will allow turning the park into a unique tourist destination and more importantly, use it for education and as a launching pad for alternative energy ideas and technologies. Through special educational programs, university affiliations, a world class and global research center, school trips and summer schools, we will use the park as a learning facility that will help plant the seed of awareness and commitment to our environments into the heart of millions of young students, thus ensuring our missions' long-term generational success.

Observation: The new industrialization of “greening the world” is in an infant and fragmented stage. Systems emerge by thousands of individuals all over the world all with their own vision of the future, inventions start randomly in garages and home labs everywhere. Those same inventors then must struggle with all the elements of normal business startups plus those of new innovation. Then they must find a place to build it, test it and take the risk of “new”, “never been done” and “revolutionary” products or ideas. Things we know we need and must have for a sustainable future are clouded by the high risks and costs needed to bring a new and untested invention into the marketplace. The process can be overwhelming, even for the experienced inventor or entrepreneur. It is not just the funding required to bring “new” products to market but, often overlooked, is the massive structures that must be in place for commercialization and distribution of any new product or system.

Concept: Create a Texas Green Technology Zone to assist, promote, evaluate, research, develop, fund and live with emerging green technologies day to day. The Zone is wholly operated and sustained with renewable and alternative energies. All residential housing, offices, retail, commercial businesses and government agencies are operating with clean energy. Ideally, all vehicles used in this Zone will eventually all use clean fuels. The Zone contains an International Research and Development Center and Intern School that supports new and emerging technologies that create and expand renewable energy and alternative fuels. The Zone also contains organic farms, fisheries and gardens some grown traditionally and others in Food Towers. There will be several “Mega” Projects that will produce 300-700+ megawatts of energy. A Conference Center, hotels, restaurants, service-oriented and retail businesses and industrial center will also be included.

The Plan: Designate a land area, large, sparsely populated, reasonable infrastructure, transportation, rail, and highway. Good business links to the rest of the county and reasonably centrally located in America.

Develop significant state and local incentives, as we pursue;

  • Federal and International Governmental financial involvements.
  • National and International Corporate financial involvements.
  • World Wide Academic direct involvement.
  • World Wide Scientific and Engineering involvement.
  • World Wide Inventors and Entrepreneurial involvement.
  • Community involvement: Allow the local community to develop their own priority list
of first phase target technologies focus and involve the people that have the immediate needs. All must fit, grow; evolve to a living standard that enhances the quality of life in the region.

Uniqueness: This Zone will be unparalleled and renowned for the way it will conduct its operational, retail and commercial business, support a thriving residential community of at least 1,000 homes, a school, a business park, an R&D Center, organic farms and gardens, tourist facilities, conference center hotels, restaurants, etc.

  • It will also be a one-of-a-kind and one-stop green technology hub where one can visit and see the latest emerging ideas and products for green and clean energy and/or purchase everything that is needed to utilize or convert to “green”.
  • All energy and water needed shall be produced through green and renewable technologies in working array from multiple suppliers.
  • A cutting edge transportation and power system working on electriZone.
  • The park would include several "Mega projects" (scale of 300-700 megawatts – that will serve two purposes – A global attraction to the Energy Park and the production of abundant power to contribute to the electriZone and produce a self-sustaining power grid structure.
  • Park will include a Village for the Scientists and technology engineers and technicians (+ their families) coming from all over the world to work and realize their inventions.
  • The R&D Center will be working closely with Universities, Engineering and Technical Schools to implement an Intern Program to harness the finest minds and creative ideas.
  • A New Technology Foundation has already been set up with The State of Texas for the purpose of drawing grant funds for qualified applicants. Additionally, matching funds are available from Luxembourg. Once approved, inventors need not worry about their budgets and can devote all their thinking into creating the finest and most efficient products and systems.

Global Appeal: The Zone will have world-wide appeal as a “Model Green Zone” that showcases extraordinary and distinctive renewable and sustainable energies, equipment, systems and technologies. It will be a mecca for inventors, scientists, developers, manufacturers and distributors from all over the world of clean and green products and methodologies. It will immediately draw the attention of the global community and leaders from every country as legal requirements to reduce emissions become unilaterally imperative.

Commercial Appeal: The Zone will draw the attention of every business, government, homeowner, entrepreneur, inventor, investor and literally anyone who drives a car, drinks water or eats food. The media will have a constant barrage of new products, services and technologies to report on and introduce to the waiting and eager public. The potential for growth is staggering.

Tourism Appeal: Tourism will naturally become an immediate outgrowth of our Green Zone. Avid marketing will be done through multiple media outlets to promote the opportunities and green products available. A tourist and sales center will be established with guided tours made readily available to potential buyers, businesses and groups. The Zone will become an incomparable attraction with green ideas and products that save lives and resources. Hotels, restaurants and other service-oriented commercial businesses will be invited to participate.

Educational Appeal: No real change can be achieved without educating our youth and future generations. The park, with it's wealth of mega projects and attractions will serve as a huge living museum, dedicated to the theme of preserving the environment with green technologies. Through special educational programs, by inviting school trips from all over the country and hosting summer schools, we'll help plant the seed of awareness of our sensitive environments into the heart of millions of our next generations. On a different level, students, academics and scientists would be able to enjoy facilities such as an "Eco University" and a world class research center, located in the very place where it exists, living, thriving and emerging.

Phase ONE: Phase One will start with an expandable R&D Center, offices and 300 residential green homes. The 300 homes will meet the urgent need for housing with the largest employer in Cactus, Texas, JBS Swift & Company. This will make a significant impact in the local community business, residents and establish a footprint for this “Green Park” that can be enlarged progressively and systematically.

The Need: There is no question as to the long overdue world-wide need for renewable and sustainable energies and alternative fuels. The United Nations’ requirements for reducing emissions must be met for the safety of us all. The need is unquestionable and the demand for technologies and systems that meet these reductions will be astronomical and grow explosively as we near those deadlines. The world-wide need for food and water is well known but has yet to be fully addressed and met. The need is absolutely there and growing with each passing day. Systems that harness the power of the sun and wind will help produce food and water for the world’s current needs and beyond.
